Merlyn
came to us in December 2006, a Thoroughbred who was never raced. After
beginning dressage training, he developed lameness which was diagnosed as a
lesion on his ligament. That was the end of his short career and he was
"retired" to Seven Springs. (He's pictured above with his mini-me
buddy, Arlo.)
He's
16.2 and he knows it. Initially he was very pushy and skittish. Over time he's
settled down and has shown us his sweet side.
After
his months off, a customized supplement regimen and a bit of ground work, he's
moving sound. Now it's time to begin some under saddle work and see how he
develops. He is a lovely mover and quite breathtaking to behold.
